How Does Snapchat Solar System Work

Snapchat’s Solar System is a fun feature only for Snapchat+ users. It shows how often you talk to your closest friends using planets. You are shown as the Sun, and your 8 closest friends are shown as planets that go around you. The closer a planet is to the Sun, the more you chat with that friend.
Here’s how it works:
You are the Sun:
Your Bitmoji is in the middle, and it stands for you.
Your friends are planets:
Your top 8 friends (the ones you talk to the most) are shown as planets going around your Bitmoji.
Closer = more chatting:
The nearer a planet is to the Sun, the more you talk to that friend on Snapchat.
See your spot:
You can also check your own place in someone else’s Solar System by tapping the “Best Friends” or “Friends” badge on their profile.
Best Friends:
If you’re a “Best Friend” planet, it means you both are in each other’s top 8 friends.
Friends:
If you’re shown as just a “Friend” planet, you are in their top 8, but they might not be in yours.
Privacy:
Only you and your friends who also have Snapchat+ can see these Solar Systems. It’s private and not visible to everyone.
Key Points
- Only visible if both people have Snapchat Plus.
- You must be in the Top 8 of that friend to see your planet.
- You won’t see it if you’re not in their top friends list.
- The planet placement is from their perspective, not yours.
